Law enforcement program for young
NJ.com - Law Enforcement Exploring is a worksite-based program for young men and women who have completed the eighth grade and are 14 years of age but have not yet reached their 21st birthday.
Law Enforcement Explorer Posts help youth to gain insight into a variety of programs that offer hands-on career activities. For young men and women who are interested in careers in the field of law enforcement, Exploring offers experiential learning with lots of fun-filled, hands-on activities that promote the growth and development of adolescent youth.
Some of the exciting topics that will be covered are: Accident scene investigations, building searches, crime scene processing, defensive tactics, collection and preservation of a crime scene, leadership development, community policing, first aid and CPR training, drug prevention and many other areas of interest related to the rewarding field of law enforcement.
Additionally, this program will provide support and guidance into becoming law enforcement professionals. As a member, you will be eligible for scholarships as well as be able to fulfill required volunteer time that educational institutions and future employers seek. If you are interested in the field of law enforcement, then the Carneys Point/Penns Grove Municipal Alliance Law Enforcement Explorer Program is for you.
Advisors in the program will include representatives with the Penns Grove Police, Carneys Point Police, New Jersey State Police and Salem County Prosecutor’s Office.
